If you saw our last publication you know the Douglas County Republican Party has listed on their website the Douglas County Republican Candidates for office. They list FOURTY DIFFERENT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES for Federal, State, and Local offices, but not Steve Kuehl. Steve is absolutely a Republican candidate for Congress and he's running for District Two which includes Douglas County Nebraska.
When a flood of patriots reached out to the DCRP this is the response they got from Chris Nelson, the Executive Director of the DCRP:
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us after seeing Steve’s Facebook post.Â
Steve Kuehl does not appear on our voter slate because our Douglas County Republican Central Committee with 100+ members voted overwhelmingly to endorse Congressman Don Bacon in his 2022 reelection bid. Our members chose to endorse Congressman Bacon because he has been one of the most ardent champions of recruiting down-ballot candidates, growing the youth conservative movement, and helping the Republican team in Douglas County.Â
Because of this endorsement, and per our Constitution, challengers to Rep. Bacon will not be listed on party materials.
Thank you,
Chris Nelson

We have a lot of questions.
Why are they listed as Douglas County Candidates and NOT Douglas County Endorsed Candidates?
Who are these members who are voting?
Are there really 100+?
Are elections determined by 100 people in a committee or the voters?
What do we have to do to be given fair treatment?
Why is the Douglas County Republican Party so afraid of Steve Kuehl?
We need you to contribute to the fight to make Nebraska First and not some group of 100 committee members!
The DCRP Responded...
I know the GOP has a Constitution that they follow. People are elected like my husband was elected treasurer for years. He decided not to run again and hasn’t spent much time in politics. He believes the politics even at the local level are corrupt.
